“I’ve known Swilley for about five years from our time as teammates in the Padres organization, and I’ve worked with him since 2023. From understanding how the throw works and developing pitch arsenals to navigating the mental side of pitching, Swilley has been the best pitching mind and mentor I’ve ever worked with. He explains adjustments in a way that helps me understand my own delivery, and he’s been there for me on and off the field.

Before working with Swilley, I averaged around 90 mph with my fastball and had below-average stuff in my first two pro seasons. After working with him following my release from the Padres, I reached levels I never thought possible. He helped me through Tommy John rehab, and in 2024, I averaged 92.3 mph, consistently reached 94 in games, developed three above-average pitches according to Stuff+ models, and struck out nearly two batters per inning.

Heading into 2025, I was sitting 91.5+ mph and touching 93 in offseason bullpen sessions. That season, I joined the Atlantic League, struck out 72 in 56 innings, reduced my walk rate, returned to a starting role, and held hitters to a .214 batting average against.

Having someone who has experienced nearly every level of professional baseball and understands what you're going through is just as valuable as the work he does with your delivery. Swilley is honest, genuinely cares about getting players better, and has made an enormous impact on my career. I can't thank him enough for his continued time and dedication.”
